N26 launches CASH26 in Spain: discover how to deposit cash into your N26 account

With CASH26, you can now deposit or withdraw cash while you shop at over 500 partner retail stores in Spain.

Let’s say that you want to deposit cash into your bank account. You head to your closest bank branch, join the long queue, and hope that the line will move quickly so that you can get on with the rest of your day. And if you want to withdraw cash? Again, you’d have to go out of your way to find an ATM—that is, if there’s even one nearby. 

Rushing about, and waiting in lines—at N26, we understand how frustrating it can be to waste time on basic banking transactions such as depositing and withdrawing cash. That’s why we’re excited to announce that CASH26 is now launching in Spain. Now, you can deposit and withdraw cash from your N26 account while you shop at over 500 partner retail stores. Forget endlessly searching for an ATM—with CASH26, you can take care of your banking at the same time as your weekly grocery shop, or during a quick walk around the neighborhood.

How do I make a deposit with N26?

To deposit cash into your N26 account, you can use CASH26 at over 500 retail stores in Spain. “How do I use CASH26,” you ask?  It’s simple:1. Open your N26 app, and tap on CASH26 in the Cards tab.

2. Choose between Deposit cash or Withdraw cash, and enter the amount you wish to deposit or withdraw from your N26 account.

3. Your N26 app will generate a scannable CASH26 barcode. Show your CASH26 barcode to the cashier at the checkout. 

4. Deposit or withdraw your chosen amount, directly with the cashier—and that’s it! Your account balance will be updated automatically.

Withdrawing cash with CASH26 is free, and you can withdraw up to €200 each time. Need a little more cash? No problem—you can withdraw up to €900 within a 24-hour period. 

If you’re depositing cash with CASH26, a minimum deposit amount of €50 and a 1.5% transaction fee will apply. You can deposit up to €999 within a 24-hour period. To find out more, visit our N26 Support Center.  

Where can I deposit or withdraw cash from my N26 account with CASH26?

CASH26 is currently available at over 500 partner retail shops throughout Spain. To find your closest CASH26 location, simply open your N26 app and tap on CASH26 in the Cards tab.
