500k, 0.5 million, half a million ... say it however you like—the fact is, more than 500,000 people in Spain already enjoy N26’s mobile banking experience. It’s a journey that began almost four years ago—with our first customer in Spain back in November 2016—and our presence has only grown since then.
Today, we’re proud to look back on just how far we’ve come in overcoming barriers on our mission to offer you a secure, flexible and transparent banking experience. Here are some of our highlights over the past few years:
4 exciting years in Spain
A couple of N26’s most exciting moments in Spain take us back to October 2018—the opening of our tech office in Barcelona, and when we launched the Spanish IBAN for new clients in April 2019. And now, we can add another very special highlight to our list of achievements—opening an office in Madrid! In efforts to be closer to our Spanish customers, we decided to reinforce the N26 team’s presence in the country by adding one more office to the map.
When it comes to our exciting product and feature launches, last year we unveiled Shared Spaces to offer you a better way to save and organize your expenses with others. And of course, there’s more to come: we plan to close the year with further exciting news—watch this space.
