About the opportunity:
As a Junior Data Analyst in the Marketing Data team, you thrive to learn as much as you can in technical and non technical aspects (e.g. domain knowledge, soft skills), while still making reliable data analytics contributions to the team. You are comfortable exploring data and generating findings for tasks with a well defined scope and low complexity.In this role, you will:
Join the Attract & Acquire analytics segment of the Marketing Data team, a cross-functional team of Analysts, Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists responsible for delivering insights to the Marketing Acquisition channels – including Organic Growth and Paid Media Channels.. As a Junior Analyst in the team, you will support other analysts on:- Generating Reports & Dashboards – Support the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and visualizations on our BI platform, Metabase.
- Support Performance Tracking – Help track key marketing performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, customer acquisition costs) based on our Marketing Mix Model to support marketing managers in their decision making.
- Data Cleaning & Preparation – Assist in data preprocessing tasks that impact Marketing Channel Reporting as well as Data Science and Analytics models (e.g. MMM, LTV), ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Data Exploration & Analysis – Conduct planned or ad-hoc exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and insights on Marketing Campaigns and Initiatives
- Documentation & Learning – Maintain documentation of analyses, methodologies, and key learnings while continuously improving your technical and domain knowledge.
- Quality Assurance – Assist in verifying the accuracy of reports and data outputs to ensure we only ship state of the art insights.
- Learning & Development – Proactively seek opportunities to improve technical skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel) and understanding of marketing analytics.
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- You have 1+ years experience in Marketing, Product or Business Analytics or relative experience as a Paid Media / Marketing Manager.
- You have good foundations and proven work experience with SQL and familiarity with Python language.
- You have proven experience with descriptive statistics, with a plus if in the Marketing field.
- You are creative, organized, self-motivated and a strong communicator. You enjoy sitting close to the business and making an impact.
- You are curious about Marketing as a business domain and how data-driven decisions can maximise its impact.
- You have good Excel / Spreadsheets foundations and familiarity with Data Visualization principles and platforms (e.g. Metabase, Looker, etc)
- Experience data modelling in SQL is a big plus, we work with DBT.
