FAQ
A joint account is exclusively available for two people.
Yes, both members of a joint account will first need to have personal N26 accounts from the same country. After that, you may open your joint account from the app.
Your joint account comes with its own IBAN that can be linked to two virtual cards and two physical cards, so you have equal access wherever you go. There are two ways to link your N26 card to a joint account: Go to your Joint Account tile under the Finances tab. Under Joint Account details, select ‘Cards and IBANs’. Or go to your Cards tab, select the cards icon. Choose the card you want to link and select your joint account.
You should both complete the process of opening your N26 bank account first. Once this is done, head to the Finances tab and select ‘Joint account’. You’ll be asked who you’d like to share your account with. Choose the person from your contact list, answer a few questions on your financial background, relationship, and usage, and accept the terms and conditions to send the invite. After they accept your invite they'll be able to access the joint account.
If you’re unable to find the other person in your contacts and both using N26, make sure you’ve activated "allow my contacts to find me" in your respective app settings.
Both account holders share equal, full legal liability for the funds in the joint account.
Your typical N26 plan fees apply, but joint accounts come at no additional fee.
