Meet Anke Ulrich

Anke joined N26 in 2016 and is today one of the longest serving members of the company’s leadership team. She has played an instrumental role in the foundation of N26 Bank, played an integral part in various funding rounds, and helped build The Mobile Bank’s legal function. In 2020, Anke took over the role of General Counsel of N26 Group.

Get to know Anke

With nearly 20 years of experience, Anke Ulrich is deeply involved in many key aspects of N26’s strategic business decisions and operations, directly reporting to Maximilian Tayenthal. She is responsible for the entire N26 legal team made up of specialists in Corporate, Funding & Regulatory Law, Banking Law & Litigation, Data Privacy, Commercial, IP&IT, & Beyond Banking. She also oversees legal operations in the French, Italian and Spanish markets.

For close to 10 years prior to joining N26, Anke was a specialized Counsel at a leading German commercial law firm. In her position, she was responsible for the legal functions related to Banking, Regulatory, Finance and Capital Markets Law. Additionally, Anke headed legal operations in the South African market.

Anke holds a degree in Law from Berlin’s Humboldt University, two German state examination as well as a Master of Laws in International Trade Law from South Africa’s University of the Western Cape.
