Manager Financial Reporting

About the opportunity

Join our Finance team as the Financial Reporting Manager, where you’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the N26 Group.  In this role, you will:
  • Coordinate the Financial Reporting function, owning the end-to-end book close and reporting processes.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with teams across Finance, Risk, Product, and Technology to ensure data integrity and alignment between subledgers, source systems, and financial disclosures.
  • Oversee and coordinate all book close activities, ensuring completion within three business days while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the preparation of annual and quarterly Financial Statements for N26 Group entities, ensuring full compliance with relevant accounting standards and successful completion of audits.
  • Continuously enhance our ERP and reporting landscape, driving automation, process optimization, and data quality improvements.
 

What you need to be successful

  • A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Audit, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Financial Services. Ideally from a financial consulting, or a comparable role in banking or FinTech.
  • Expert knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing efficient reporting and closing processes.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken).
  • Hands-on experience with Workday or similar ERP systems is a strong plus.
