About the opportunity

As a Junior Data Scientist in the Marketing Data team, you will be a key contributor to our culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous experimentation. You will support the development of data-driven models and deliver critical insights that help us understand customer value, test hypotheses, optimize marketing investments, and guide our strategic decisions.  This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects ranging from sophisticated predictive models, such as Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), to direct analysis of marketing campaigns and customer behavior, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment.

  • Actively partner with the marketing team to design, execute, and analyze experiments (e.g., A/B tests) to validate hypotheses and measure campaign impact.
  • Conduct ad-hoc and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover actionable customer insights, identify trends, and answer day-to-day business questions from marketing stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior data scientists to translate business problems into statistical and machine learning models.
  • Prepare, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple sources (CRM, marketing platforms, finance systems) to ensure a single source of truth for marketing analytics.
  • Help create clear visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings and empower non-technical stakeholders to make data-informed decisions.
  • Document models, assumptions, and processes for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in predictive modeling, causal inference, and marketing analytics.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align data science solutions with business objectives.

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong skills in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, matplotlib/seaborn).
  • Good understanding of statistics (regression, probability, hypothesis testing).
  • Experience working with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Eagerness to learn advanced methods (Bayesian models, time-series forecasting, uplift modeling).
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and a curiosity for finding truth in data.
  • Ability to communicate results in a clear and structured way to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with experimental design and analysis (e.g., A/B testing).
  • Familiarity with Customer Analytics concepts (cohort analysis, retention, churn).
  • Exposure to Marketing Analytics (MMM, attribution models, campaign measurement).
  • Academic background in STEM or Economics preferably with a Master Degree or PhD.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and tools like SageMaker, S3, Redshift.
  • Knowledge of BI tools like Metabase.
  • Experience with Git and Jupyter Notebooks.
