About the Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Banking Operations Analyst to join our Claims Team and help us build an efficient, customer-focused claims process on a global scale. This role is perfect for someone experienced and motivated, who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working on complex cases.
As a Banking Operations Analyst, you’ll manage topics such as Garnishment, Insolvency, and P-Accounts on a daily basis. You’ll act as a key point of contact for our outsourcing partner, supporting them with more complex cases, while also driving process improvements across the team. Your work will directly contribute to keeping N26 compliant, efficient, and customer-centric.
In this Role, You Will:

Manage legal cases in close collaboration with our Legal teams in Italy and Spain.

Support the Claims team with complaints handling.

Exchange information with our Italian and Spanish branches (e.g. reporting, document delivery checks, third-party declarations, process automation).

Coordinate with other BankingOps teams and stakeholders (AFCO, CS, etc.) to align cross-team processes.

Prepare and deliver training sessions for our external partner.

Support the external partner daily by answering questions and providing guidance on complex cases.

Communicate directly with Spanish and Italian tax authorities via official tools (e.g. PEC, Dehú/AEAT) and phone calls to ensure smooth handling of garnishments and maintain strong relationships.

Keep internal documentation (Confluence, ServiceNow, Hopex) up to date to ensure compliance and minimize audit risks.

Monitor and report on SLAs, identify root causes of issues, and propose action plans.

Handle insolvency and other edge cases requiring strong legal and compliance expertise.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or related field (advanced degrees or certifications in Legal Studies, Compliance, or Project Management are a plus).

3+ years of experience in banking operations, legal operations, or claims management, ideally in a regulated or multinational environment.

Proven experience handling complex legal cases, including insolvency and court proceedings.

Experience working with outsourcing partners and cross-functional teams, especially across Italy and Spain.

Exposure to regulatory reporting, risk management, or compliance is highly desirable.

Strong process ownership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently manage complex workflows.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust with internal teams, external partners, and authorities.

Fluency in
Italian, Spanish, and English
(written and spoken). -
Familiarity with process improvement and automation tools; experience with workflow systems or business analytics tools is a plus.

High attention to detail, with the ability to issue accurate, legally binding statements.
