We’re excited to announce that you can now use your N26 card with Google Pay in 5 more countries for the very first time—Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Poland.Add your card in just a few taps right in the N26 app—there’s no need to download any extra apps or services to get going.
What is Google Pay?
Google Pay is a fast, simple way to pay with your phone, and now your N26 account. And, best of all, it’s entirely free.Google Pay makes it easier for you to use your money however you want. Not keen on carrying your card around? Google Pay lets you use your phone to pay in stores. Just look around for the NFC terminal when you’re shopping, hold your phone above it, and you’re done. You can also use Google Pay to keep track of all your individual credit, debit, reward, and gift cards. Plus, you can collect loyalty points—Google Pay will even alert you when you can use them!

When you attach your N26 card to Google Pay, your details are protected with multiple layers of technology.When you use your phone to complete a transaction in stores, Google Pay doesn’t send your actual credit or debit card number with your payment. Instead, it sends a virtual account number and keeps your card details safe. Additionally, you can’t make payments totaling more than €25 without unlocking your phone. This means that if your phone gets stolen, your personal details are probably more safe than if you were to lose your card.Both N26 and Google Pay puts a lot of emphasis on security. But if you’re looking to add another layer of security on top of this built-in technology, you can always add your own PIN to Google Pay for extra peace of mind Just open the app, go to the Security section under Settings and toggle on Require PIN.
