N26 enters Germany’s telecommunication market with digital mobile plan offer

  • Starting today, N26 is offering customers in Germany affordable mobile plans as an alternative to conventional mobile contracts.
  • All plans come with an eSIM which can be activated in a few taps in the N26 app, granting customers immediate access to Vodafone’s 5G network at one of the most competitive rates in Germany.
  • N26 customers can activate the plans from today onwards, and do so fully digitally, with no paperwork, long contractual periods or physical SIM cards.
Berlin, 7 May 2025 – N26 today announced its entry into the European telecommunications market with the launch of N26 SIM. The launch is the latest move by the digital banking pioneer as it continues to reimagine traditional business models through digital innovation. N26 SIM was specifically designed for customers who value maximum flexibility and attractive pricing. Offering digitally-activated mobile plans on Vodafone Germany’s powerful 5G network, N26 SIM delivers a seamless user experience – entirely without a physical SIM card. Thanks to modern eSIM technology, N26 SIM mobile plans can be activated directly in the N26 app – quickly, effortlessly, without paperwork, and without the need to visit a local telco store. All plans come with unlimited national calls and text messages, as well as free EU and EEA roaming. With N26 SIM, three data plans are available at attractive rates to suit various customers’ needs:
  • S plan: 10 GB for 13.99 € per month
  • M plan: 30 GB for 19.99 € per month
  • L plan: 100 GB for 34.99 € per month
On top of their choice of data bundle, N26 SIM customers can also choose between porting in an existing phone number, or getting a new number provided by N26. For maximum flexibility, customers will also have the ability to cancel their plan with a month’s notice, doing away with long fixed-term contracts and binding commitments. The use of eSIM technology also unlocks additional benefits, allowing customers to switch between multiple numbers and active mobile plans on a single device, making it ideal for those who want to separate work and personal connections or stay flexible with traveling abroad.
