Get to know Maximilian
Maximilian Tayenthal is Co-founder of N26. Together with his longtime friend Valentin Stalf, he has built one of Europe's leading digital banks. Maximilian served as Co-CEO, Chief Operating Officer of N26 and Managing Director of N26 Bank SE until December 2025. Prior to that, he held the role of Chief Financial Officer. Before founding N26, Maximilian gained broad experience in consulting and finance, working at leading professional services firms including CMS and Booz & Company.
He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics and business administration from the University of Vienna. He also has a master’s degree in economics from the Community of European Management Schools, as well as a law degree from the University of Vienna. Max is also a CFA charterholder.
