Introducing, Shared Spaces—the evolution of Spaces that lets you share sub-accounts with other N26 customers to manage money together. All in just a few taps from your smartphone.

Shared Spaces was launched in 2019 for N26 accounts with a German IBAN, and is finally available for N26 accounts with an Italian IBAN. Read on to find out how you can start using this feature.

Shared Spaces is the perfect tool to share costs or manage expenses without the need to open a joint account. And the best part is, you can share up to 10 Spaces sub-accounts with any other N26 user, whatever your relationship—family, friends, colleagues, roommates. It’s all up to you.

When you create a shared space, you’ll become its owner and can then invite or remove other N26 customers at any time. All Shared Spaces participants will be able to monitor transactions in real time and transfer money in and out of the space as they wish. So we recommend only using this feature with people you know and trust.

If you’re already an N26 premium customer, creating Shared Spaces is simple:

1. Open your N26 app and go to the Spaces section in the bottom navigation bar. 
2. Tap 'Create a new space' then select 'Sharing money'
3. Give your space a name and add up to 10 users with their visibility switched on.
4. That’s it! You can start managing money together right away

N26 Smart, N26 You, and N26 Metal customers—as well as premium Business accounts—can create or participate in up to 10 shared spaces. If you have an N26 Standard account then you can join up to two shared spaces created by other N26 premium customers.
