How to use Google Pay with N26

Open Google Wallet and select the "+" sign, scan your card, and we'll take care of the rest. Or head to the Cards tab in the N26 app and add your card directly.

Note: Google Pay is available in Austria, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, and Sweden.

  • You can use any Android smartphone or tablet running on Android Pie 9.0 and above. To make in-store payments, your phone also needs to support Near Field Communication (NFC). To check for this, go to your phone’s Settings app, select ‘Connected devices’, then ‘Connection preferences’, and finally ‘NFC’. Toggle it on and you’re all set! Steps can differ depending on your device.
  • After adding your N26 Mastercard to your Wallet app, Google Pay works anywhere contactless, in-person payments are accepted. Just unlock your phone and hold it near the card reader. You can also pay online with a few quick clicks — no need to enter your payment info.
  • Every N26 Mastercard works with Google Pay. But there may be restrictions depending on your country of residence.
  • Yes, it’s entirely free. Just download the app directly from the Google Play store.
