Our Leadership Team
Valentin Stalf, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Having founded the company in 2013, he leads its team of 1,500 highly skilled professionals from more than 80 nationalities. N26 operates office hubs in Berlin, Barcelona, Paris, Vienna and other European cities.
Maximilian Tayenthal, Founder, Co-CEO and COO
Maximilian Tayenthal is founder, co-CEO and COO of N26. Together with his business partner and friend Valentin Stalf, he has built one of the fastest-growing mobile banks in the world.
Valentin Stalf, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Having founded the company in 2013, he leads its team of 1,500 highly skilled professionals from more than 80 nationalities. N26 operates office hubs in Berlin, Barcelona, Paris, Vienna and other European cities.
Maximilian Tayenthal, Founder, Co-CEO and COO
Maximilian Tayenthal is founder, co-CEO and COO of N26. Together with his business partner and friend Valentin Stalf, he has built one of the fastest-growing mobile banks in the world.
Carina Kozole, Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer
Carina Kozole was appointed Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer of N26 AG and N26 Bank AG in November 2023. In her role, she is responsible for N26’s Risk Management Function and oversees the Mobile Bank’s risk controls.
Arnd Schwierholz, Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer
As Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, Arnd Schwierholz is responsible for managing the financial actions of N26, including the areas of Accounting, Controlling, Finance, Taxes, M&A, and Investor Relations.
Gino Cordt, Chief Technology Officer
As the Chief Technology Officer of N26, Gino oversees the firm’s Data and Technology divisions, with the important responsibility of bringing data and security together while building the digital bank the world loves to use.
Anke Ulrich, General Counsel
Anke joined N26 in 2016 as a Senior Legal Counsel and is today, one of the most tenured and long-serving members of N26’s leadership team. She has played an instrumental role in building up N26’s legal function, and took over the role of General Counsel of The Mobile Bank in 2020.
Timo Meyer, Chief People Officer
After over six years at the Mobile Bank, Timo is today the Chief People Officer at N26. In this role, he is responsible for the leadership of the people team, overseeing key initiatives including employee experience, leadership and organizational development.
Juan Bongiovanni, Chief Marketing Officer
Juan Bongiovanni joined N26 as Chief Marketing Officer in January 2024 to lead the digital bank’s global marketing organization.
Mayur Kamat, Chief Product Officer
Mayur Kamat joined N26 as Chief Product Officer in May 2024. He leads the digital bank’s product and user experience teams across its technology hubs in Berlin, Barcelona and Vienna. As CPO, he is responsible for delivering N26’s global product strategy across its portfolio of spending, saving, investment and credit features.
Carina Kozole, Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer
Carina Kozole was appointed Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer of N26 AG and N26 Bank AG in November 2023. In her role, she is responsible for N26’s Risk Management Function and oversees the Mobile Bank’s risk controls.

Anke Ulrich, General Counsel

Jérémie Rosselli, General Manager, France & BeneLux
Jérémie joined N26 in 2016 as General Manager France, responsible for launching and growing the mobile bank in the French market and gradually to install N26 as the digital bank you will love to use every day.
Andrea Isola, General Manager Italy and South-Eastern Europe and VP European Markets
As General Manager Italy and Southeast Europe, Andrea is responsible for growing N26 presence and key offerings in growing markets of South-Eastern Europe, while also taking the important role of legal representative for the Italian branch of N26 Bank. As VP European Markets, Andrea also oversees N26’s key European markets and he is responsible for the bank’s sustainable growth across individual markets.
Jérémie Rosselli, General Manager, France & BeneLux
Jér émie joined N26 in 2016 as General Manager France, responsible for launching and growing the mobile bank in the French market and gradually to install N26 as the digital bank you will love to use every day.
Andrea Isola, General Manager Italy and South-Eastern Europe and VP European Markets

Supervisory Board
Marcus W. Mosen, Chair of the Supervisory Board
Marcus W. Mosen brings more than two decades of management, strategic growth, and leadership experience in payments and fintech and is the former CEO of payments company Concardis. He has also held executive roles at Ingenico, Ogone, Easycash and First Data. As well as being a fintech investor, he is a board member at various fintech startups and a senior advisor to venture capital firms. Marcus will be the Chair of the Supervisory Board.
Jörg Gerbig, Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board
Jörg Gerbig is the Chief Operating Officer of Just Eat Takeaway.com and founder of Lieferando, bringing with him rich experience in scaling fast growing businesses in the digital space. He will hold the position of Vice-Chair of the Board.
Déborah Carlson-Burkart
As a respected expert in international regulatory compliance and governance, Déborah Carlson-Burkart joins the Supervisory Boards of both N26 AG and N26 Bank AG, and chairs the Group’s Nomination Committee. A qualified Swiss lawyer, LL.M. she has a strong track record in both the technology and finance industries and serves on the boards of Swiss aerospace innovator RUAG international and insurer Visana Group, amongst others. Additionally, Déborah is a guest lecturer in Corporate Governance and Compliance for the University of St. Gallen’s EMBA program and its Swiss Board School. She was previously Managing Director and Head Legal at Rothschild Trust Group, Alstom Switzerland and MicroStrategy. She lived, studied and worked in various countries and speaks German, English, French and Italian.
Peter Kleinschmidt
Peter Kleinschmidt was appointed to the Supervisory Board of N26 AG in 2024. Formerly a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he spent almost 30 years as an auditor and tax advisor in the company’s Audit division, he has worked with and audited the financial statements of multiple national and international banks and financial conglomerates. In addition, he is an avid investor in startups with a focus on new and emerging technology.
