About the opportunity
PTX Risk & Compliance Management team main focus is to promote and facilitate a strong culture of compliance across each 1 LoD organisation through supporting 1 LoD process owners, 2 LoD stakeholders and senior management in audits and projects with a regulatory focus.
As part of the role, the Product Audit Analyst will support the sustainable implementation of and ensure ongoing alignment with relevant policies and procedures (2 LoD frameworks) and external legal & regulatory requirements.
Furthermore, the position will require alignment between 1LoD and 2LoD stakeholders, diverse Product & Tech segments, and when necessary, consider the regulators as an important stakeholder in solutions.
In this role, you will:
The Product Audit Analyst will be responsible for supporting in 4 key areas:
Regulatory Governance
- Share knowledge and best practices with stakeholders of other 1 Line of Defense (LoD) organisation
- Review and comment on Product strategies, policies, procedures, standards, processes & tools/templates developed by the 2 LoD that will be implemented and applied across 1 LoD
Regulatory Compliance
- Support and act as contact for Product, for relevant regulatory topics (e.g. BaFin circulars, market-specific legislation, etc ) and other related activities (eg. NPP, MaRisk) and other relevant 1 LoD/2 LoD stakeholders.
- Perform follow ups until completion and ensure proper documentation of the activities with regards to mitigating measures, action plans, & KPIs.
Project Management
- Coordinate audit, risk and regulatory remediation projects across relevant organisation (1 LoD only).
- Ensure proper documentation and escalation to relevant stakeholders of regulatory events (eg. incidents, audits, investigations).
Audit & Documentation
- Create and maintain sources of truth for regulatory projects, review and challenge relevant information received from product & tech owners, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Facilitating communication between product teams and auditors, ensuring accurate and complete evidence is provided.
- Supporting product teams in gathering required audit evidence.
- Managing delivery timelines, delays, and escalations during audits
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
- One or two years experience within a regulatory/compliance, big four, control or analysis function within a financial or regulatory institution.
- Knowledge of relevant international legal and regulatory requirements for financial institutions - EBA Guidelines, German Banking Act (KWG), MaRisk, PSD2, MiFID and BAIT.
- Experience in a fintech environment is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skill and ability to work cross-functionally across multiple business units and levels, and clearly explain banking concepts to colleagues.
- An entrepreneurial vision, an autonomous attitude, and a ‘get things done’ approach, while demonstrating a quick grasp in conceptual project work and strategic thinking.
- Fluent in English, German, French or Spanish are also helpful.
Work Experience
- 1-2 years of professional experience working in cross-disciplinary functions, such as consulting, audit, for a regulator.
- Professional experience working for or with Big 4/consulting , retail banks, neobanks and fintechs desired.
Education
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Public Policy, Finance Law, Information Technology or other relevant areas. Project management certifications are also helpful.
