About the opportunity

N26 is looking for a Legal Operations Analyst to coordinate and handle administrative tasks within the Legal team. This includes reviewing terms and conditions and preparing them for publication on our website and for other stakeholders. You’ll support the optimization of internal processes and help design new ones where needed. Additionally, you’ll assist in handling both out-of-court and legal disputes by gathering facts and independently communicating with other departments in the company. You’ll process incoming mail and distribute it within the team. Another key responsibility will be supporting our lawyers with legal research on general civil law topics and issues related to payment services framework contracts. You'll also be involved in legal reviews of new features in the N26 app and financial product launches, coordinating with internal and external legal counsel in our European markets on local legal matters.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with our Legal team, especially on complex administrative matters
  • Independently manage the administration of our General Terms and Conditions
  • Support both legal and out-of-court dispute resolution, including fact-finding and providing an initial legal assessment
  • Develop new concepts and lead projects related to banking law and financial market products
  • Review legal statements in complaint procedures
  • Independently coordinate and communicate with external legal advisors

What you need to be successful:

Background:

  • You’ve successfully completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Law and have basic knowledge of German civil law. A Master’s degree with a legal specialization is a plus, but not required
  • Experience in the mentioned legal areas is a plus, but not essential — the key is your willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with these areas and apply your legal skills effectively
  • Initial experience in legal team management or legal operations is a plus
  • Fluent in both German and English (spoken and written); additional languages, especially French, Spanish, or Italian, are a plus

Skills:

  • Strong interest in technical and business processes as well as digital business models
  • Particularly interested in finance and fintech
  • Able to work independently, make decisions, and confidently represent them internally and externally
  • Willing to pragmatically explore new topics and legal areas and stay close to dynamic developments in civil and regulatory law
  • High level of integrity, commitment, and initiative

What’s in it for you:

  • Accelerate your career growth by joining one of Europe’s most talked about disruptors 🚀.
  • Employee benefits that range from a competitive personal development budget, work from home budget, discounts to fitness & wellness memberships, language apps and public transportation.
  • As an N26 employee you will have access to a Premium subscription on your personal N26 bank account. As well as subscriptions for friends and family members.
  • Vacation days vary depending on your location of work. Additional day of annual leave for each year of service.
  • A high degree of autonomy and access to cutting edge technologies - all while working with a friendly team of peers of diverse nationalities, life experiences and family statuses.
