About the opportunity
We are seeking a Global KYB SME and Project Manager to lead and project manage the design, implementation, and optimization of KYB processes for the German market.
This role will work at the intersection of process expertise and project management, driving the creation of a new KYB framework and ensuring successful cross-functional collaboration to meet business and regulatory needs.
As part of a newly established team, you will have the chance to shape foundational processes and deliver a best-in-class experience for business customers.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for KYB processes, providing guidance on best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Project manage the implementation of end-to-end KYB workflows, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Legal, Tech, and Operations, to create scalable and efficient processes.
- Identify bottlenecks or gaps in existing KYB processes and develop solutions to address them.
- Monitor and report progress on KYB-related projects, ensuring KPIs and objectives are met.
- Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal initiatives by providing expert-level documentation and insights on KYB operations.
- Train and support the newly formed KYB team, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge required for success.
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in e.g., Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in KYB, Compliance, or Project Management within a regulated environment (e.g., banking, fintech).
- Proven track record of managing projects or initiatives that involve process creation or optimisation.
- Deep understanding of German KYB and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulatory requirements.
- Project management expertise, with experience in tools like JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex workflows.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel) to track and communicate progress.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
