About the Opportunity 

You will work in the Everyday Banking domain, within the Payments Team. This is where all payment and card transactions are being managed and processed by modern & high-volume systems that power the best customer experience possible. These teams make banking easy, reliable, seamless and secure - everyday for every customer. This is a hybrid role from Barcelona or Berlin. Our cross-functional teams are passionate about collaboration and sharing knowledge, as well as working with a high degree of autonomy. As an iOS Engineer at N26, you will be encouraged to embrace the latest technological updates and given a platform to work on complex, interesting problems on a daily basis.

In this role, you will:

  • Work in cross-functional teams, understand how the entire puzzle fits together instead of just being a solitary piece
  • Take ownership and have an impact on the product
  • Ask "Why?" and be prepared to be asked, "What do you think about it?"
  • Engage in knowledge-sharing within your team as well as beyond
  • Understand and work with Agile development methodologies

What you need to be successful:

  • Thorough experience with the Android Platform and Material Design principles
  • Experience with Kotlin
  • Experience with Reactive programming - Kotlin Flows and Coroutines
  • Able to build software with a focus on testability - Test/Behaviour Driven Development, Dependency Injection
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose (nice to have)
Skills:
  • Be highly motivated and a fast learner
  • Strong bias for action, and getting things done
  • Language Skills: full professional proficiency in English

  • Motivation to write code which is well-tested and well-documented
