Senior Regulatory Reporting Associate (Remote Germany/Spain)

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Regulatory Reporting Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical work, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants exposure to a wide range of financial, risk, and data topics.

In this role, you will:



  • Produce, compile, and review regulatory reports (e.g., statistical returns, COREP, FINREP, liquidity)
  • Ensure regulatory submissions are timely, accurate, and compliant with relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Take responsibility for core reporting topics and influence key processes from day one

  • Own and deliver statistical and financial reports to regulatory authorities

  • Support strong reporting governance, documentation, and monitoring of regulatory developments

  • Assist in quality assurance and contribute to continuous optimisation of reporting processes

  • Collaborate on the technical implementation and integration of the financial data warehouse

  • Build strong relationships with upstream reporting functions and data-delivering teams (e.g., Risk Management, Treasury, Accounting)

  • Gain exposure to financial and risk-related data in a fast-growing and highly regulated environment

  • Contribute to scalable reporting processes as the company grows across regions

What you need to be successful:

Background: 
  • 1-2 years of experience in a regulatory reporting role (or similar) within a bank, financial institution, or consultancy
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, a banking apprenticeship with a focus on Regulatory Reporting (Meldewesen) or a related field is preferred.
  • Fluent in German and English

Skills:
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting frameworks such as COREP, FINREP, liquidity reporting, capital reporting, statistical returns
  • Knowledge of IFRS/HGB and internal controls is a plus
  • Experience in interacting with regulators is a plus
  • Experience with data tools (SQL, Excel, or BI tools) or an interest in developing such skills is an advantage
  • BAIS Knowledge and experience with either would be a an advantage 
  • Excellent stakeholder management: ability to work cross-functionally (Finance, Risk, Data, Accounting)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Self-starter, proactive, independent, but also able to collaborate in a fast-paced environment
