HR Compliance Manager

About the opportunity
We are seeking a skilled compliance expert to drive our People team compliance to the next level.
You will be responsible for all People team compliance aspects including a focus on Rewards related governance and compliance. You will work closely with the relevant teams including the Rewards Team, Group Compliance Team, Finance and the Group Internal Audit Team. You will support the development of compliance knowledge across the People team. Part of the tasks of this role will be to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations including the Institutsvergütungsverordnung (IVV), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz, KWG). The role will advise on design decisions on the implementation of compensation programs, support our People Leadership team in building compliant People products and ensure compliance with governance requirements including the preparation of Remuneration Committee meetings. You will report to the Director of Labour Relations and Employment Law.
This role requires a good understanding of all compliance relevant areas for a People team in a financial institution, but also a desire to familiarize with new topics and to advance them.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Governance and Compliance:
IVV, KWG, CSRD compliance, maintain regulatory standards, implement and check policies and local Collective Bargaining agreements, train the People team, monitor and implement relevant changes in law and relevant regulations, conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and cooperate with the Internal Audit TeamRemuneration Compliance:
support our People Leadership Team in preparation for Remuneration Committees, advise the Rewards function in the development and maintenance of incentive plans, equity plans, and other reward mechanisms incl. executive compensation programs, prepare mandatory disclosures and reporting and material risk takers identification
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field or law state examina. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CCP, GRP) is preferred.
- Proven experience in
executive compensation, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
- In-depth knowledge of German regulatory frameworks, particularly IVV, KWG and CSRD.
- Ability to work effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles.
- Experience in conducting market research and compensation benchmarking.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
