About the opportunity:
The Group Internal Audit (GIA) team functions as a highly trusted, independent, and process-independent governance body. Our mission is to examine and assess the effectiveness and appropriateness of the bank's risk management system, the internal control system (ICS), and all operational activities (including outsourced services) in a risk-oriented manner.
As a Working Student in Group Internal Audit, you will play a critical role in our mission. You will not just be handling admin; you will work hand-in-hand with our local and international audit team, reporting directly to the GIA Management team. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you will help relieve high-performing senior auditors from PMO friction, enabling them to focus on high-risk fieldworks while you gain unparalleled, hands-on exposure to the inner workings of a licensed, fast-paced digital bank.
In this role you will:
- Support Live Audits: Assist the Group Internal Audit team with assigned projects, fieldwork, and risk-oriented examinations of the bank’s internal control system (ICS).
- PMO and Admin: Own critical administrative tasks and operational processes to relieve senior auditors from friction and keep audit projects moving smoothly.
- Create Executive Materials: Support the creation of high-quality management presentations, reports, and schedules destined for the Executive Board and regulatory stakeholders.
- Track Finding Remediation: Support the tracking and execution of critical audit findings, helping to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the international GIA team and engage with key stakeholders across Treasury Operations, Risk Controlling, and executive management.
- Academic Background: Currently enrolled as a Bachelor/Master student (or a recent Graduate looking for a bridge role) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Professional Exposure: Previous internship or working student experience in Internal/External Audit or within an international company operating in a highly regulated environment (e.g., a bank, financial institution, or professional consultancy/Big 4).
- Languages: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is mandatory, any other European language is a plus.
- Tech Stack: Strong proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and a quick adaptability to task-tracking tools like Jira.
