Senior Process Management Associate

About the Opportunity
As a Senior Process Management Associate, you will have the unique opportunity to drive the implementation of a company-wide process management framework and introduce a new internal control system (ICS) for N26. As our team and framework scale, you will have the opportunity to specialise in a specific business area within N26 - allowing you to develop an expert understanding of banking, non-banking, or tech processes, while sharpening your process management and optimisation skills. You will report directly to the Head of Process Management, who will support your professional growth as a reliable sparring partner and mentor.In this role, you will:
- Lead the creation of company-wide process documentation as the foundation for N26's Internal Control System (ICS).
- Drive change management initiatives to ensure a well-established, disciplined approach to process management across the company.
- Support the management team in introducing and onboarding a new process mining platform, subsequently training internal staff on its use.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to gather critical input for compliance and new process activities.
- Optimise and customise tools to elevate N26's overall process management practices.
- Define end-to-end process metrics to identify performance bottlenecks and work with business owners to address them.
- Engage with business units to discover, analyse, and document key process attributes (e.g., Risks & Controls, IT Assets, Information Flows, Data Objects) compliant with BPMN 2.0.
- Act as an ambassador for process management and modelling, developing and delivering training curricula to support our transformation into a process-driven organisation.
- Meet regularly with process owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to review process performance and manage the change of implemented optimisations.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Education: A degree in Business Administration, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM/MINT).
- Experience: 2+ years of experience contributing to process management initiatives, ideally within financial services, fintech, or a fast-paced startup environment.
- Process Expertise: A solid understanding of BPMN 2.0 methodology and hands-on experience with BPM software. Experience with process mining tools is a strong plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant local and European regulations (e.g., MaRisk, DORA) is highly advantageous.
- Analytical Mindset: A strong analytical approach with the ability to document, analyse, and optimise complex processes within a matrix organisation.
- Communication & Influence: Exceptional influencing and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and workgroups.
- Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment, managing changing requirements, and handling ambiguity with ease.
- Languages: Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; knowledge of German is a big plus.
