About the opportunity
We are looking for a business lead for our Payments segment. You will play a pivotal role in co-driving the segment strategy along with your product counterpart and ensuring the successful delivery of high impact initiatives with cross functional teams.

- Co-drive the creation and refinement of the segment strategies, enabling decision and trade-off decision making.
- Create business cases to assess both initiatives and experiments impact.
- Conduct exploratory analyses to optimize P&L.
- Lead KPI reviews with cross-functional teams to monitor progress against goals.
- Become a central stakeholder for other departments, including Product & Tech, Data, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Marketing.
- Partner with other internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement, deploy & maintain payments product strategies and offerings.
- Track, analyse, and report on performance metrics to identify opportunities for product optimization.
- Lead projects from initial execution until go-live and then owning and optimising performance.

Background:
- Minimum of 5 years in fintech, banking, consulting, or startup environments, ideally have led a team already
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Mathematics, or related field from a top-tier institution.
- Proven experience in making data-driven recommendations and driving strategic outcomes through cross-functional collaboration.
- Good understanding of the global, EU and local payments landscape in markets N26 operates in.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead projects and reprioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to independently source data and derive insights.
- Effective visualization and storytelling skills for presenting insights.
- Interest and curiosity for the banking/fintech industry.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to utilise AI tools effectively.
