Strategy & Operations Manager France

About the opportunity
We are seeking a Strategy & Operations Manager to act as a trusted partner to the General Manager, with primary responsibility for overseeing and strengthening day-to-day operations in France.
This role is focused on execution, ensuring that processes run smoothly and operational challenges are resolved quickly and effectively.
You will play a key role in translating business priorities into clear operational plans, driving accountability across teams and implementing structures that enable N26 to scale in the French market. From improving workflows and resolving any bottlenecks, you will be instrumental in building a reliable, high-performing operation.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for strategic and operational tasks in the areas of Operations, Product, Growth and Regulatory for the French market.
- Drive leading projects end-to-end from initial strategy design to complete execution and ongoing improvement management.
- Facilitate execution through cross-functional tasks and projects ranging from banking operations, data analytics, finance, risk, legal, and local regulation to successfully complete projects.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of teams at N26 to increase product market fit.
- Support the local General manager and French local operations on a daily basis.
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- You hold a Master’s degree in a quantitative or business discipline such as Finance, Economics, or Engineering, with a strong emphasis on analytical and structured problem-solving.
- Ideally, you have 4–6 years of experience in analytical or strategic operations roles, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and driving operational results.
- Outstanding analytical skills and a structured way of thinking.
- Good understanding of the French market.
- Prior experience in fintech or banking is a plus!
- Data driven; SQL background is a plus.
- Strong hands-on mentality with a focus on execution, and high motivation to take an active role in N26.
- A quick learning ability, outstanding analytical skills and a structured way of thinking, your attention to details is exceptional.
- Open to learn, and interested in understanding and deepening your knowledge of the banking business.
- Proven ability to master new topics and tackle challenges both independently and proactively.
- Fluent communication skills in both French and English.
