About the opportunity

We are seeking a Product Manager for AI Products to join the “Intelligent Operations Platforms” (IOP) segment. In this role, you will drive the development of AI solutions - spanning both Machine Learning and Generative AI - that empower our teams and help N26 lead the financial industry through technology. Our AI Products team acts as a central hub of innovation. We don't just build features; we build and manage AI capabilities that allow every other part of the bank - from Financial Crime and Risk to Growth and Marketing - to become smarter. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and real-world banking, turning sophisticated models into scalable products that improve efficiency, compliance and the customer experience.

In this role, you will:

  • Work hand-in-hand with Senior Product Leadership. You will work closely with different PMs to align your roadmap with the broader company-wide AI strategy, while maintaining autonomy over your specific work-streams.
  • Drive business impact. Focus on high-impact areas such as augmenting our Operations, enhancing fraud detection (FinCrime), and personalising marketing efforts.
  • Own the execution of key AI initiatives. You will lead the end-to-end lifecycle for specific Machine Learning and GenAI projects, moving from initial concept to full-scale production.
  • Partner with Data Science Experts. Act as the bridge between technical experts (Data Scientists, ML Engineers) and business or Product stakeholders to ensure our models solve real user problems.
  • Balance delivery. Manage the day-to-day delivery of AI products, ensuring a healthy balance between launching innovative new features and maintaining the high security and reliability standards expected of a bank.
  • Empower other teams. Support creation and sharing of "blueprints" and toolkits that allow other product teams across N26 to integrate AI into their own features autonomously and safely.

What you need to be successful:

Background:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a technology-driven environment, with a clear track record of shipping products powered by AI or Machine Learning.

Skills:

  • Technical literacy. A strong grasp of AI fundamentals, including an understanding of when to use Large Language Models (LLMs) versus traditional ML methodologies (like classification or regression models).
  • Data-driven mindset. Comfort working with complex datasets and the ability to define and track the right KPIs to measure model performance and business value.
  • Effective collaboration. Experience working within an Agile environment and a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different departments.
  • Communication. The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable updates for non-technical partners, bridging the gap between Data Science and Product or Business teams.
  • Regulation awareness. Experience in the financial services industry is a strong plus, as it helps in understanding the importance of compliance and security.
