Senior Reporting Data Analyst (Fluent French)

About the opportunity
The Senior Reporting Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the French Regulatory Reporting team by developing, maintaining, and optimizing the data models, pipelines, and scripts used for French regulatory submissions. The role ensures high-quality data, reliable transformations, and seamless alignment between French regulatory requirements and our data/tech teams.In this role, you will:
- Working with the French Regulatory Reporting team who are our experts in regulatory reports, in order to match regulatory requirements to the data which is living in our DWH.
- Build and automate data models.
- Data profiling, finding the right data, requesting missing data, etc.
- Conducting data quality investigation.
- Define, build and maintain processes that deliver crucial data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Automate everything what is possible.
- Learn about regulator reports and accounting principles.
- Maintain your work well documented, reproducible and reliable.
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with data in the financial industry or similar.
- Fluent in English & French.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL is a must (Postgres or Redshift preferred).
- You love working with data, and you become very creative when analyzing data.
- You are independent problem solver who owns the process from the beginning till the end, however you also know how to recognize when to ask for a help.
- You are curious, responsible, self-motivated, detail oriented empathic leader and a strong communicator.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and performance optimization.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, CTEs, and window functions.
- Strong understanding of database normalization, indexing, and query performance tuning.
- Proficiency with dbt for transforming, testing, and documenting data pipelines.
- Experience in building dbt models.
- Knowledge of dbt best practices, such as modularity, reusability, and testing of data models.

Experience in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation of data workflows.
- Familiarity with Git for version control, especially within dbt and SQL code management.
