FP&A Associate

About the opportunity
We’re looking for an FP&A Associate who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to take real ownership within their domain. You bring experience as a Finance Business Partner (or in a similar role), strong financial modelling skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You know how to translate data into insights, support strategic decisions, and help shape financial plans that drive business outcomes.
With your business acumen and collaborative mindset, you naturally build trust across teams and operate comfortably in a cross-functional setup.
In this role, you will:

Be part of the Group Finance team, supporting the N26 Organization, all C-Levels and have close partnership with the People division

Support the Head of FP&A, Finance and People division leadership by providing insights from financial analysis and decision-making support

Partner with the People teams support with workforce planning process as well as analysis on actual performance

Be the key driver of OPEX (particularly compensation and headcount) reporting for actuals and forecast for all divisions, in close collaboration with accounting and People leads

Support in other Admin Expense Business Partnering (related to HC and compensation)

Partner with Head of FP&A and People leads on automations, particularly in developing a new planning and actuals reporting process in the software

Keep leadership informed about risks and seize opportunities

Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting as well as the wider Group Finance team for monthly closing procedures

Continuously develop and improve our tools and processes, including successful migration to rolling planning

Assist in controlling and developing our variable remuneration program incl. our ESOP program in close collaboration with the Rewards team
What you need to be successful
Background:
-
Masters degree in Business, Management or Finance required, or a combination of an MBA plus a (non-)business degree

Track record as Finance Business Partner, or in a comparable role, with 2-4 years professional experience in the field

Prior experience in (Fin)Tech, or a fast-paced corporate is required

Strong personal leadership and stakeholder management skills are required

You feel comfortable navigating the uncertain, and you have the necessary resilience to learn from set-backs and course-correct

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, drawing conclusions and insights from data

Proficiency in Excel modelling

Knowledge of Accounting principles is highly desirable

Fluency in English written and spoken
