Senior Salesforce Engineer - Core Platform

About the opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions across our platform. Our Salesforce Platform Team enables business agility and operational efficiency through thoughtful architecture, robust integrations, and automation-first development. We believe in collaboration, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement to build sustainable solutions that empower our users. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to shape and build platform capabilities that scale with our growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and deliver end-to-end Salesforce solutions - from analysis, design, and development to deployment, monitoring, and incident response
  • Lead and independently drive technical projects within the team and across domains, acting as a mature and solution-oriented technical counterpart
  • Review, assess, and continuously improve the team’s tooling landscape, development workflows, and cross-team collaboration
  • Champion code quality, security awareness, and platform health through deep code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices
  • Maintain the deepest technical understanding of all team-owned components, ensuring architectural clarity and surfacing tech debt into the backlog
  • Develop strong knowledge of production data and proactively support incident learnings and follow-ups
  • Bridge gaps across teams by aligning delivery with broader domain goals and fostering meaningful cross-functional partnerships
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, promote technical knowledge sharing, and raise the overall engineering bar
  • Lead and facilitate impactful technical discussions across the engineering organization
  • Play an active role in growing the team by helping identify and attract top Salesforce engineering talent to N26

What you need to be successful:

Background: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 6 - 10 years of experience delivering Salesforce solutions in a product-led or fast-paced enterprise environment

Skills: 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive mindset
  • Deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce declarative tools (Flows, Validation Rules, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, platform limits, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP, Platform Events, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development, and release management on Salesforce
  • Prior experience with Service Cloud is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, influence architectural decisions, and provide mentorship to peers
