About the opportunity

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to support us in the journey of designing compliance as a product. We want to make sure our ways of working at N26 are fully compliant and we approach the challenge by focusing on the customer.   

In this role, you will:

  • Build strong relationships with engineers, product managers and agile coaches, empower them with a agile and product-centric compliance mindset and leverage their knowledge on compliance topics
  • Solve complex operational compliance problems and make strategic trade-offs together with engineers, by learning more about our tech stack and deep-diving onto our platform
  • Build didactic, custom trainings and smart guidance on IT compliance materials for engineers, product managers and agile coaches
  • Design smart and frictionless overarching processes for all engineers, ensure coordination and alignment with all stakeholders
  • Build semi-automated reporting and data-analytics monitoring solutions and be the data gatekeeper for all the overarching security and operational resilience processes
  • Monitor the effectiveness and compliance adherence of the processes
  • Ensure consistency of all the IT compliance initiatives for Product & Technology with the Bank 2nd Line of Defense and the 3rd Line of Defense Internal Audit functions
  • Be able to establish IT compliance readiness diagnosis and be able to build new KPIs to bring this visibility to a wider audience

What you need to be successful:

  • Communication and coordination with engineers combined with a strong product mindset is the key to the success of this position
  • Technical background in the field of Software, Platform Engineering or Product Management
  • Experience working with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and Developers
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary Agile teams and very good knowledge of Agile practices
  • Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure architecture, Software development supply chain, and DevSecOps engineering practices
  • Understanding the architecture of a fast, scalable Tech stack in a cloud Platform
  • Project and program management skills
  • Fluent English skills (spoken, written)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with Security and Regulatory Compliance best practices, such as ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST, COBIT and Operational Resilience standards
  • Regulatory knowledge on European Regulatory frameworks for: Data protection (GDPR), Cybersecurity (Cybersecurity resilience Act) and Operational Resilience (DORA), German Banking Regulatory Compliance knowledge (MaRisk, KWG, KRITIS -BSI) 
  • Experience documenting processes in regulated environments
  • Solid educational background and/or practical experience in a similar role is a plus
  • Knowledge of the products we offer and passion for N26
