    You can open an N26 Smart account via the N26 app on your smartphone or the web app. You’re eligible if:
    • You’re at least 18 years old
    • You’re a resident of a supported country
    • You have a compatible smartphone
    • You don’t already have an account with us
    • You have a supported ID document, applicable to the country you’re resident in. Find further information here.

    To open an N26 Smart account, you must meet our eligibility criteria. If you do, simply register on our website, or by downloading the N26 app onto a compatible smartphone. Opening an account takes only 8 minutes and is done without paperwork. Once you’ve verified your identity, your bank account will be ready to use.     Spaces are sub-accounts that sit alongside your main account, and are a practical way to organize your finances. Create up to 10 Spaces when you sign up for N26 Smart, and transfer money in and out of your spaces as often as you like—all it takes is just a few taps in your N26 app. Set up a space to save up for a dream purchase, or simply set the bulk of your savings aside in a space to turn your main account into your monthly allowance. With Shared Spaces, you can invite up to 10 other N26 users to manage funds together—such as for household expenses between housemates, or for an upcoming group trip with friends and family. To save up even faster, you can round-up each card transaction to the nearest euro, and stash the difference to a space of your choice.
