N26 Travel Promotion T&Cs

Enrollment is available from 17.07.2025 00:00 CEST until 31.10.2025 23:59 CEST. The legal entity offering the promotion (hereinafter: ‘N26’) is the N26 entity identified below that has a contractual relationship with the eligible customer, as applicable:

  • N26 Bank AG, Sucursal en España, located Paseo de la Castellana, 43, 28046 Madrid, Espagne, registered in Madrid n° Section 8 No. 675425 - Succursale in Spain of N26 Bank SE.
  • N26 Bank SE, French Branch, located 17-21 rue Saint-Fiacre, 75002 Paris, France, registered in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under No. 840 460 943 - French branch of N26 Bank SE.
The promotion is available to new N26 Go and Metal customers (Personal and Business accounts) with their residence in Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden or Switzerland who sign up from 17.07.2025 00:00 CEST until 15.10.2025 23:59 CEST (hereinafter: ‘promotion period’) and receive an in-app message, email or push notification by N26, informing them about the promotion and their eligibility (hereinafter: ‘eligible customer’). The eligible customer can participate in the promotion by clicking on the in-app message, email or push notification informing them about their eligibility and clicking ‘Enrol’ on the in-app landing page for the promotion. From the moment of successful enrollment, customers will receive 1% cashback on the following qualifying transactions made with their N26 Mastercard (‘Qualifying Transaction’): a) All e-commerce transactions classified under travel-related Merchant Category Codes (MCCs); b) All point-of-sale (POS) transactions conducted: During the first 30 days post enrollment: outside the customer’s country of residence; After the initial 30-day period, for maximum 12 months: outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The European Economic Area (EEA) includes all EU member states as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. The cashback rate remains the same (1%) throughout the promotion, but the geographical scope of eligible POS transactions changes after the initial 30-day period. The promotional cashback described above will automatically expire after the end of the 12-month period (counted from the day after the initial 30-day period ends), unless terminated earlier in accordance with the general terms of this promotion. If an eligible customer enrols in the promotion and subsequently downgrades to an ineligible tier (N26 Standard or N26 Smart), they will not be permitted to re-enrol in the promotion upon upgrading to an eligible tier (N26 Go or N26 Metal). However, if the customer had not enrolled in the promotion prior to downgrading, they may enrol after upgrading back to an eligible tier. A merchant category code (or “MCC”) is a code which identifies which sector a merchant is from. N26 does not control and cannot change these MCCs, as these are defined by Mastercard. The following MCCs are travel related for the purpose of this promotion: airlines and air carriers (MCCs 3000-3350 and 4511); hotels, motels, resorts (MCCs 3501-3999 and 7011); cruise lines (MCC 4411); and travel agencies or tour operators (MCC 4722) buslines (MCC 4131) trains (MCC 4112) car rentals (MCC 3351-3500, 7512) travel-related arrangement services (5962), campgrounds and trailer parks (7033), motor home and recreational vehicle rental (7519), tourist attractions and exhibits (7991) For the purpose of this promotion, POS transactions refer to in-person payments made at physical merchant locations using the customer’s N26 Mastercard Debit card or Maestro Debit card (physical card or mobile wallet) via a point-of-sale terminal. ‘E-commerce transactions’ refer to online purchases made using the customer’s N26 Mastercard Debit or Maestro Debit card via websites or mobile applications, where payment is processed through an internet-based merchant platform. ATM withdrawals, transactions to credit accounts (e.g. account top-ups at other banks), betting and casino gambling transactions, cash-like (quasi-cash) transactions such as money or cryptocurrency purchases, and purchases via third-party payment providers such as PayPal do not classify as a Qualifying Transaction and are expressly excluded. The reimbursement will be credited to the eligible customer’s N26 bank account (main account) every 30 days after enrollment. ‘Transaction outside of the country of residence’ means any transaction made in a country other than the one to which the customer’s account is contractually linked, i.e. the country whose Terms and Conditions apply to the account at the time of enrolment in the promotion. Changes to the country of residence after enrolment do not affect eligibility for this promotion. As the eligible customers are N26 Go or Metal customers, they have to regularly pay their periodic membership fees. N26 reserves the right to otherwise immediately stop crediting any reimbursements under these T&Cs. If N26 or the eligible customer terminates the N26 Go or Metal membership or N26 current account contract in line with the applicable N26 account T&Cs during the promotion period, the eligible customer loses the right to receive or claim any reimbursement that has not been paid out before the termination date. N26 reserves the right to terminate this promotion or perform reasonable changes to the promotion at any time with a 14 calendar days notice to the eligible customers. Until such notice is given, the promotion will remain in effect. N26 reserves the right to terminate this promotion or perform reasonable changes to the promotion at any time if it notices any abuse of the promotion or violation of these T&Cs. N26 further reserves the right to stop crediting any reimbursements under these T&Cs, if N26 customers undertake to misuse the promotion. The promotion will be subject to the legislation of the country that the N26 entity that the eligible customer has contracted with has its legal seat. Customers with their residence in Spain need to have their tax residency in Spain and provide a valid Spanish Tax ID to be eligible. The official language of these T&Cs is the contract language of the current account contract between N26 and the eligible customer (hereinafter: the ‘official language’). Any translation must be considered as a courtesy translation. In case of any discrepancies between the official language of these T&Cs and any courtesy translation, the official language version will prevail.
