Banking Operations Analyst -GDPR (German speaker)

About the opportunity

We are establishing a new Data Privacy Operations function within Banking Operations and are looking for an Operations Analyst to join us. The primary focus for this function is to serve as the primary contact for GDPR Data Subject Rights requests, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objections, and automated decision-making. Our work is vital to ensuring transparency and trust for our customers while protecting N26 from legal and regulatory risks. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Legal, Complaints Management & Prevention, Anti-Financial Crime, KYC, and with external partners.

In this role, you will:

  • Handle GDPR Data Subject Rights requests, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Investigate and resolve cases, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose improvements.
  • Support onboarding and training of external partners, providing ongoing guidance.
  • Contribute to cross-team projects related to privacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Share knowledge and support expertise-building within the team.

What you need to be successful:

  • 1+ years of experience in banking operations or a role with legal/regulatory exposure.
  • Some knowledge of GDPR or prior experience handling privacy-related queries.
  • A university degree in business, finance, law, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience collaborating with legal stakeholders (e.g., lawyers, notaries, courts) is a plus.
  • Strong English and German skills (written and spoken); French, Spanish, or Italian are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace; knowledge of Salesforce, Jira, or Confluence is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage time, and meet deadlines.
  • A team oriented mindset, with confidence to work independently.
