WFM Forecasting Expert

About the opportunity:
As a Forecasting Analyst in the WFM team, you are responsible for producing high quality demand forecasts for different workstreams across operations. Your forecasts will be used for capacity planning, budget planning, and shift scheduling of our in-house teams and external partners. Additionally your forecasting expertise will be used to support the implementation of new products and key initiatives, and you will be the internal go-to person for forecasting related questions. You will challenge existing frameworks and implement innovative solutions using your experience and knowledge.
In this role, you will:
- Forecast resource requirements across different teams and workstreams to meet customer/stakeholder demand and required service levels.
- Produce analytics on forecast performance, as well as volume evolution and the effect of internal or external factors on volume such as new product launches.
- Assist in the further development of forecasting methodologies, models and tools in order to increase forecast accuracy and efficiency.
- Partner with Growth, Membership, and Product Teams to understand the key drivers of volume and incorporate them into the forecasting and planning process.
- Provide consultative support for the leadership team, guiding and advising to develop effective productivity measures, performance management intelligence and resource planning effectiveness.
- Collaborate with a broad range of analytics teams at N26 to utilise shared platforms, insights and innovations.
- Maintain an accurate events log detailing what is included in the forecast and reasons for variance to forecast.
What you need to be successful:
- 2+ years of experience working in demand forecasting, resource planning, or directly related field
- Advanced level of ability in applied mathematics, statistics, scenario modelling, demand modelling and analysis
- Expert with Excel or Google Sheets, and ability with SQL, Python, or R is a huge plus
- Experience with business analytics platforms such as Google Looker, Metabase, or similar systems
- Graduated with a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or other related field of study/relevant level of professional experience
