We are in search of a proactive and dedicated Manager to play a pivotal role in our AFC Operations department. This role is instrumental in ensuring the alignment with pertinent regulations and our internal policies related to Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), establishing a trustworthy compliance culture within N26.

In this role, you will:
As an AFC Operations Manager, you will assume responsibility for the oversight of a variety of Anti-Financial Crime tasks including but not limited to only guiding a team of AFC Investigators and working in collaboration with other Team Leads. Your role will be central to building bridges between operational execution and strategic management, ensuring seamless interaction and effective project and process implementation.Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively lead and engage with Team-leads and Associates, guiding the implementation of strategic initiatives and objectives, and fostering collaborative and inclusive team dynamics.
- Driving internal improvement projects with considerable impact, while being up-to-date with regulatory alterations, ensuring that the team is informed and processes are compliant.
- Lead the team in identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring a culture of risk awareness and proactive management through comprehensive action plans.
- Serve as a key figure in communications with external and internal stakeholders, leading with extensive regulatory knowledge and industry best practices, and setting an example in professional external engagement.
- Lead the utilization of data analytics to strategically monitor KPIs, exceed SLAs, and anticipate operational and/or market trends, demonstrating a commitment to informed data-driven leadership.
- Participating in and contributing to the design and implementation of compliance operational procedures and processes.
- Fostering a positive and motivational environment, encouraging team members to reach their full potential, and contributing to their professional development.
- Take charge of the Italian market’s compliance landscape, demonstrating adept leadership in navigating its complexities, deepening our local expertise, and ensuring stringent alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.

Background:
- Significant experience in Anti Financial Crime, AML, Compliance or similar fields.
- Demonstrated proven experience in managing teams and influencing to harmonizing organizational structures and processes in a complex environment.

Comprehensive understanding of the local regulatory framework in Italy.
Skills:
- Proficient in English and Italian.
- Good knowledge of regulations.
- Demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, including conflict resolution, fostering a collaborative team environment, and leading teams through complex regulatory landscapes
- Ability to analyze data to inform decisions and forecasts.
- Hands-on leadership approach, with a willingness to directly engage in team development and act as a mentor for the further leadership teams.
