Our Leadership Team

Maximilian Tayenthal, Co-Founder, Co-CEO and COO
Maximilian Tayenthal is Co-founder, Co-CEO and Chief Operating Officer of N26. Together with his longtime friend Valentin Stalf, he has built one of Europe's leading digital banks.

Marcus W. Mosen, Co-CEO
Marcus W. Mosen has served as Co-CEO of N26 since September 2025. He was elected as Chair of the N26 Supervisory Board in October 2022, and held that position until transitioning to Co-CEO.

Maximilian Tayenthal, Co-Founder, Co-CEO and COO
Maximilian Tayenthal is Co-founder, Co-CEO and Chief Operating Officer of N26. Together with his longtime friend Valentin Stalf, he has built one of Europe's leading digital banks.

Marcus W. Mosen, Co-CEO
Marcus W. Mosen has served as Co-CEO of N26 since September 2025. He was elected as Chair of the N26 Supervisory Board in October 2022, and held that position until transitioning to Co-CEO.

Arnd Schwierholz, Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer
As Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, Arnd Schwierholz is responsible for managing the financial actions of N26, including the areas of Accounting, Controlling, Finance, Taxes, M&A, and Investor Relations.

Gino Cordt, Chief Technology Officer
As the Chief Technology Officer of N26, Gino oversees the firm’s Data and Technology divisions, with the important responsibility of bringing data and security together while building the digital bank the world loves to use.

Anke Ulrich, General Counsel
Anke joined N26 in 2016 as a Senior Legal Counsel and is today, one of the most tenured and long-serving members of N26’s leadership team. She has played an instrumental role in building up N26’s legal function, and took over the role of General Counsel of The Mobile Bank in 2020.

Timo Meyer, Chief Growth & Marketing Officer
Timo Meyer joined N26 in 2016, and is today, one of the longest-serving members of N26’s leadership team. He was appointed as Chief Growth and Marketing Officer, responsible for the company’s Marketing and European Market teams.

Mayur Kamat, Chief Product Officer
Mayur Kamat joined N26 as Chief Product Officer in May 2024. He leads the digital bank’s product and user experience teams across its technology hubs in Berlin, Barcelona and Vienna. As CPO, he is responsible for delivering N26’s global product strategy across its portfolio of spending, saving, investment and credit features.

Dan Hardaker, Chief People Officer
Dan Hardaker was appointed Chief People Officer at N26 on 1 August 2025. In his role, he leads N26’s People team, overseeing key people and culture topics, including organizational and leadership development, recruitment, rewards, and employee experience for more than 1,500 employees of 90 nationalities across Europe.

Arnd Schwierholz, Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer

Andrea Isola, General Manager Italy and South-Eastern Europe and VP European Markets
As General Manager Italy and Southeast Europe, Andrea is responsible for growing N26 presence and key offerings in growing markets of South-Eastern Europe, while also taking the important role of legal representative for the Italian branch of N26 Bank. As VP European Markets, Andrea also oversees N26’s key European markets and he is responsible for the bank’s sustainable growth across individual markets.

Andrea Isola, General Manager Italy and South-Eastern Europe and VP European Markets
As General Manager Italy and Southeast Europe, Andrea is responsible for growing N26 presence and key offerings in growing markets of South-Eastern Europe, while also taking the important role of legal representative for the Italian branch of N26 Bank. Supervisory Board

Dr. Andreas Dombret
Dr. Andreas Dombret is an experienced banker and financial expert. After a long career in the financial industry, he served from 2010 to 2018 on the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank, overseeing banking supervision, financial stability and international affairs. Previously, he held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Bank of America and Rothschild. Today, he advises Oliver Wyman and leading global financial institutions while also teaching at Columbia University and the European Business School.

Byron Haynes
Byron Haynes is Chairman of the General and Supervisory Board at Novo Banco, Portugal, overseeing the bank’s strategic direction and governance. With over 25 years in banking, he previously served as CEO of Austria’s BAWAG and held senior roles at ABN AMRO and RBS. A Chartered Accountant by training, he holds a degree in Accountancy and Finance from a London University.

Dr. Daniel Terberger
Dr. Daniel Terberger is Chairman & CEO of KATAG AG, a leading European fashion service partner providing fashion, financial, IT, and insurance services to the retail sector. He holds a degree in business administration and a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen, and is also a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University for his doctoral studies. Before joining KATAG’s management team in 1998, he worked at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong, New York, and Frankfurt. Daniel is an experienced supervisory board member, serving on the boards of both private and listed companies, including ECE Hamburg, Sixt SE, and Gebrüder Weiss Österreich.

Déborah Carlson-Burkart
Déborah Carlson-Burkart is an expert in international regulatory compliance, governance, and legal leadership for finance and technology firms. She joined N26’s Supervisory Board in 2023. With more than 15 years of experience as an executive in-house counsel, her previous roles include Managing Director and Head of Legal at Rothschild Bank & Trust Group (Switzerland and Italy), Head of Legal at Alstom Switzerland, and Strategy USA. She also spent a decade as a practicing lawyer and currently serves as a board member and committee chair for global companies in technology and insurance. Among other qualifications, she holds a law degree from the University of Zurich, an LL.M. in Banking and Finance from Duke University, and completed the International Directors Program at INSEAD. Déborah is a guest lecturer in Corporate Governance and Compliance at the University of St. Gallen’s EMBA and the Swiss Board School.

Jörg Gerbig
Jörg Gerbig is Chief Operating Officer of Just Eat Takeaway.com and founder of Lieferando. Having been appointed to the Supervisory Board in 2022, he brings with him rich experience in digital innovation, entrepreneurship and in scaling fast-growing businesses in the digital space. Earlier in his career, Jörg also spent four years in investment banking at UBS.

Peter Kleinschmidt
Peter Kleinschmidt was appointed to the Supervisory Board of N26 in 2024. He was formerly a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he spent almost 30 years in the Audit division. Peter has worked as an auditor and advisor for multiple national and international banks and financial conglomerates, including numerous large German and global financial institutions. He has deep knowledge in accounting, IT, compliance, risk management, internal controls, and internal audit. Peter is also an avid investor in startups with a focus on new and emerging technology.

Dr. Andreas Dombret is an experienced banker and financial expert. Byron Haynes
