2013

N26 is founded in Berlin, pioneering a new way of digital banking in Europe.

2015

We launch Europe’s first mobile bank accounts, showing that managing money on the go can be simple, transparent and intuitive.

2016

We become the first digital bank to be granted a full German banking license. Customer deposits are protected up to €100,000 under the German Deposit Protection Scheme.

2019

With the launch in Slovakia, N26 reaches its 24th European market – bringing modern, mobile banking to millions of customers across Europe.

2023
