
About the opportunity
The Financial Platform Analyst takes an active role in the Accounting Platform Solutions processes partnering up with the CFO Area team to define and shape the strategy of financial data management and execute on corresponding initiatives. The Financial Platform Analyst compiles, organises, analyses, and reports information related to an organisation’s financial matters. She/He creates and deploys queries, conducts data analysis, and produces reports/dashboards and presentations to share critical findings with stakeholders. She/He may also be involved with overseeing data migration or verify the accurate exchange of information between databases or systems. Finally, the Financial Platform Analyst is also considerably involved in the further ERP development (aligned with Finance objectives) as well as its integration to our internal tools.
In this role, you will:

Be a key contributor to our Accounting Platform Solutions team

Continuously develop the business processes underlying our Finance ERP: Workday Financials and integrated tools

Take an active role in the automation of accounting and reporting processes participating in improvement projects, for example process optimizations and the design of core processes and procedures in our Financial ERP

Collaborate with Product and technology teams in regular initiatives such as planned software upgrades, improvements in integration between ERP software and core banking engine.

Assemble, structure and summarise data to design and build reports & dashboards on financial status and risks to enable the functional teams in performing account reconciliations and other administrative tasks.

Maintain and develop systems and processes, ensuring the appropriate balance between control and efficiency

Build a strong interface within the larger group finance team around financial data management common topics

Organise and manage large amounts of complex data in an efficient manner
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- A university degree with a focus on Finance, Business, Computer Science or comparable majors
- 2-3 years of work experience in Finance / Data division in a fast paced environment
- Fluent in SQL and industry based data analytics tooling
- Interest in and understanding for ERP systems and processes
- A good understanding of data architecture and experience working on designing the same is a big plus

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and experience in using structured approaches to problem solving with tight deadlines.
- “Can-do” and “Hands-on” mentality and a focus on achieving goals
- Experience in project management and willingness to deliver in agile ways of working
- Ability to comprehend and narrate financial records for external stakeholders
- Flexible and able to work with changing priorities
- Experience of working with and managing external service providers
- Fluent English and good German skills
