About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as Executive Assistant to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO). At N26, our team of Executive Assistants provide high-level strategic management support, clerical and business assistance, plus direction and guidance to support in the achievement of strategic priorities and business goals and objectives. This opportunity will allow you to see what the daily life of a C-Level executive is like, how N26 is managed, and how our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) works together.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage complex calendars, across multiple time zones including vetting, prioritising, and providing recommendations on meeting cadence, time spent, optimising scheduling on an ongoing basis.

  • Support the executive with inbox management including filtering, tracking and planning for efficient workload management. 

  • Act as a gatekeeper for the executive, by reviewing incoming requests and assessing the purpose, objective, and desired outcomes of requests.

  • Draft communications, documents, and presentations depending on the needs of the CFO.

  • Follow up and provide reminders on project deadlines, action items, and deliverables

  • Assist and/or manage all logistics of end-to-end of small to large scale events planning, including team meetings, all-hands and offsites.

  • Support in tracking the CFO office budget expenditure on travel and morale initiatives.

  • Participate and contribute to team meetings, taking notes or minutes as required, including facilitation of any follow-up action items.

  • Prepare complex national and international travel itineraries at a very short notice; Including, but not limited to, purchase of flight tickets, accommodation, ground transportation, visa requirements and applicable security measurements.. 

  • Ensure all logistical and administrative duties are completed in a timely manner, including expense reports, reimbursement requests, post management, IT support, and financial administration.

What you need to be successful:

Background: 

  • 3-5 years experience supporting VP or C-Level executives in large global businesses, start-up environments and/or tech companies.
  • Project management experience would be beneficial.
  • Fluent in business-level English; intermediate in German would be a plus.

Skills: 

  • Excellent communicator, rapport and relationship builder, with very high emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain key relationships. 
  • Highly competent at managing workflow, priorities, diaries and schedules for multiple persons, including yourself and the executive. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, and changing environment with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to take the initiative and ownership over sometimes ambiguous tasks and situations with little oversight.
  • Level of integrity that is beyond reproach and be able to keep confidences and corporate confidentiality without question, as well as professionalism with senior leaders.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand the nuances of different departments and divisions, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the CFO and his team.  
  • Expertise with G Suite applications; strong written communication skills, including the drafting and editing of high-level documents; advanced presentation preparation skills.
  • Rational and strategic thinker with problem-solving capabilities and the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance
  • Self-motivation and organisation with superb attention to detail and a proactive can-do attitude.
  • Adept at dealing with a variety of complex stakeholders and difficult situations and at managing and overcoming conflict. 
  • Financial numeracy and corporate finance understanding is a plus.
