About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Director to run the Group Treasury department including Investment Management and Corporate Finance of the N26 AG and the N26 Bank AG. As our deposits and balance sheet continue to grow, you will be responsible for defining and executing the investment strategy by recognising regulatory and economic capital restrictions and sign responsible for Asset-Liability Management (ALM), Cash Management and debt financing.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a high performance team of senior portfolio managers and associates for Treasury and Investment Management as well as a corporate finance and an operational cash management team.
- Co-chair the asset-liability committee (ALCO) and report to the CFO of N26 Group as well as to the CEO of N26 Bank.
- Manage a fast growing multi-billion Euro fixed income portfolio of N26 Bank .
- Lead associated credit and trading processes in accordance with all relevant regulations in cooperation with Risk Management.
- Be responsible for defining our ALM strategy incl. Deposit Modeling, Hedging and Transfer Pricing and ensure adherence to our Risk Appetite.
- Oversee our regulatory capital planning process as well as various projects to optimise RWA by securitization and/or hedging
- Guide the organisation on regulatory and economic capital treatment of investments (CRR, ICAAP).
- Steer central bank liquidity and collateral reserves and ensure crisis liquidity (ILAAP).
- Align with auditors and regulators to explain the portfolio strategy, processes and results.
- Enhance the treasury management IT being connected to the accounting, risk and regulatory reporting function.
- Initiate and guide on investment related new product / market processes in accordance with AT 8.1 of MaRisk.
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- At least 10+ years experience in credit investments and treasury management with a clear understanding of EU bank regulation and (esp. MaRisk and CRR).
- Good overview and experience in all relevant treasury activities, i.e. Investments, ALM, Cash Management, Corporate Finance, Treasury Management System)
- Strong process and project management skills with a good understanding of audit and regulatory requirements
- Pronounced leadership with strong a hands-on approach
- Clear sense for risk and reward
- Professional qualifications in CFA, CPA, PRMIA-PRM, and GARP-FRM preferred
Skills:
- Initiative, analytically-minded, and able to handle multiple tasks under a tight schedule
- Good communication and presentation skills with excellent command of English, German is a strong plus
