About the opportunity
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to both our Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and our Chief Regulatory Officer (CRegO). This Executive Assistant role exists to provide high-level strategic management support, clerical and business assistance, plus direction and guidance to support in the achievement of strategic priorities and business goals and objectives. This opportunity will allow you to see what the daily life of two management board members looks like, how N26 is managed end-to-end, and how our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) works together.
Objectives: Taking your lead and overall direction from both Managing Directors, the Executive Assistant is responsible for managing the office of both executives in a way that facilitates the executives being their most productive and effective. Under the supervision of the executives, this position provides varied, complex, high-level, confidential administrative support to the Managing Directors; and manages key administrative processes including Board and Committee meetings. This position is responsible for the coordination of the activities and the timely flow of information to and from the executive office. This position is privy to information that is confidential and critical in nature and therefore requires diplomacy and discretion and must function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced professional environment.
In this role, you will:
Have the following key responsibilities (not exhaustive):

Manage our CRO’s and CRegO’s offices and support all business activities at N26 focusing mainly on our risk, compliance and banking functions.

Serve as a liaison between the Managing Directors and internal and external groups; disseminate information requiring judgment and knowledge; and screen calls and visitors, proactively understanding who they are, which are priority and keeping track of communication.

Anticipate the Executive Director’s needs and act accordingly; proactively bring together appropriate people and resources to support the Executive Directors in addressing issues.

Maintain the Executive Director’s calendar, planning of meetings and business trips; brief on daily schedule and provide necessary background information prior to meetings. Participate in and contribute to meetings and take notes or minutes as required, including facilitation of any follow-up action items.

Support and participation in the implementation of (transformation) projects

Support in the creation of posts and content for public appearances and social media

Build and maintain strong relationships with all team members, direct reports, internal executives in other divisions or departments, and relevant internal or external stakeholders, especially with regards to our regulators

Assess and manage the flow of information, communications, and access to both executives line with identified and ordered relative priorities.

Use your judgment to guide the executives in day-to-day office management issues, team issues and board issues. The Executive Assistant will manage enquiries unilaterally where possible, or bring them to the attention of the executives at a time appropriate to relative priorities.

Provide necessary business intelligence and data, including feedback on the temperature and mood within the team and organization.

Support initiatives of the CRO and CRegO, or elsewhere in the organization, as required and act as an advocate of them as required. The Executive Assistant is responsible for managing key projects on behalf of the team, or being involved as a project team member, permanently or on an ad hoc basis as required.

Build strong networks externally that help to support the executives in achieving business objectives.

Partner with other Executive Assistants in the N26 CEO Office and key stakeholders on driving efficiency and improved processes for the Executive Leadership Team of N26.

Report into the N26 CEO Office and be an integral team member to all executive support staff at N26.
As well as having the following main duties and tasks:

Manage the meetings, tasks schedules and diary of both the CRO and CRegO, including arranging meetings in line with identified and understood priorities

Review all communications to the executive and handle, reassign or prioritize these for the executive in line with identified and understood priorities and areas of responsibility with the team and business.

Review submissions to the executive and assess and edit for clarity, style, purpose or objective, and desired outcomes.

Conduct research for the executives and their team initiatives or projects as directed or proactively, based on an understanding of known and understood project or task objectives.

Draft communications, documents, or presentations as directed by the executive or proactively and present such communications for review or distribute unilaterally, depending on an understanding of the desires and needs of the executives

Manage and oversee projects as directed, including the development of plans for such projects.

Participate in and contribute to team meetings and take notes or minutes as required, including facilitation of any follow-up action items.

Book and arrange travel and accommodation in line with known and understood needs, priorities, and objectives.

Ensure all logistical and administrative duties are completed in a timely manner, including post management, IT support, and financial administration.
What you need to be successful:
Your profile:

At least two years of relevant work experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Previous experience with supporting senior executives or leaders.

Project management experience as well as experience in a banking environment would be beneficial.

Fluent in business-level German and English
-
Excellent communicator, rapport and relationship builder, with very high emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain key relationships.

Service-oriented personality with a structured, independent way of working and the discretion, loyalty and flexibility that are essential for this position.

Possess advanced office software skills; strong written communication skills, including the drafting and editing of high-level documents; safe handling of common social media platforms; advanced presentation preparation and design skills; a strong financial numeracy, corporate finance and/or banking understanding is a plus.
