There are currently approximately 200 employees in our customer operations department. Our goal is to establish a best-in-class customer operations in the European banking world. Key tasks of operations include the digital verification of our customers, customer services, banking and business operations. We aim for lightning fast service levels, six sigma type process quality and a truly customer-oriented mindset of our employees. As Head of Automation and Internationalization, you will lead the way in optimizing and automating our key processes. This includes as well to drive latest applications of Artificial Intelligence applications at N26 operations department and to internationalize our process with a focus on our European markets.

Once here you will

  • Refine and drive our automation roadmap with emphasis on growth and internationalization

  • Scout and identify latest technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, to further boost our internal productivity and customer experience

  • Contribute to both build the most efficient digital Banking Operations and a customer service department which deploys the latest technologies - including chat bot, cognitive agents, internal productivity tools

  • Support the development of business and banking operations tailored to our international markets

  • Work directly with C-Level and the leaders of customer services, KYC, banking and business operations to drive their automation agenda

  • Build up and lead an internal continuous improvement team that delivers excellence in our key customer processes

What you'll bring along

  • In-depth knowledge of process optimization methods (e.g. lean), automation and latest AI applications relevant for an operations department

  • The ability to think and act strategically with clearly defined business objectives in mind AND an entrepreneurial can-do mind-set with a strong hands-on approach

  • In-depth knowledge of best-in-class customer operations organizations with a large employee base

  • Knowledge of digital companies and their products, ideally in the area of financial institutions

  • Outstanding people and business leadership skills, with a strong focus on managing a variety of business partners

  • Data is your friend! You drive success through analysis and numbers and aren't afraid to use these in making decisions

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English, ideally German
