You might have heard of the $38 cup of coffee ($3 plus a $35 fee), or maybe you’ve experienced one of these pricey overdraft fees first-hand. Each year, many of us spend nearly as much on hidden bank fees as we do on major purchases. More often than not, banking is riddled with confusing service charges, maintenance fees, and minimum account balance requirements. Many of these charges are disguised in fine print and can appear in your account when you least expect them. N26 believes that banking should be transparent, with no hidden fees or confusing language designed to trick you.
