Good news for all Samsung Galaxy S6 users

Extremely fast, extremely simple and extremely advanced – fingerprint log-in is another great addition to NUMBER26 security. Thanks to the continued rollout of the “Marshmallow” operating system to more and more devices, fingerprint log-in is now available for Samsung Galaxy S6!

While it’s still not available for every smartphone, Marshmallow is expanding to more devices every day. You can check the latest device list here:

What this means for NUMBER26 fingerprint log-in access:

For iOS it’s a short story – every device (whether an iPhone or an iPad) that comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor (the so-called TouchID) will allow fingerprint log-in for the NUMBER26 app.

It’s a bit more complicated for Android devices. You need a device that has a sensor and already has the Marshmallow update. (Also, the fingerprint sensor needs to work with the Android software, but that is generally the case.)

This means that NUMBER26 fingerprint log-in is currently available on the following devices:

  • All Nexus devices starting with Nexus 5x
  • Samsung S6 since rollout of Marshmallow
  • Samsung S7
  • Huawei Mate 8

We’re constantly working to offer enhanced usability and security features on as many devices as possible. Whenever there’s an update, we’ll let you know!
