Do I have to open my business bank account with my own name?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you must use your first and last name in order to open an N26 Business Smart bank account. The N26 Business Smart bank account was designed for freelancers and the self-employed who offer their services in their own name—that means the name of your business will not be shown in your bank account or on your Mastercard.

How do I open an N26 Business Smart bank account?

Accepted Answer

To open your N26 Business Smart account, you must meet our [eligibility criteria](https://support.n26.com/en-de/memberships-and-account-types#business-accounts). If you do, you can open your account in just a few minutes using your smartphone or the N26 WebApp on desktop. Opening your bank account doesn’t require any paperwork. You can start using your account right away once we have verified your identity.

Wie erhalte ich Cashback für Einkäufe mit der N26 Mastercard?

Accepted Answer

With N26 Business Smart, you’ll earn 0.1% cashback on all your Mastercard purchases. Your cashback will be automatically calculated and deposited into your N26 Business Smart bank account on a monthly basis—you don’t need to do a thing.

Can I have both a regular N26 bank account and an N26 Business Smart bank account at the same time?

Accepted Answer

No. It currently isn’t possible to have two N26 bank accounts with the same name. If you have a personal N26 account and want to open an N26 Business Smart bank account, you will first need to close your personal N26 bank account. You may then sign up for an N26 Business Smart bank account.

What are Spaces and Shared Spaces? How can I use them?

Accepted Answer

Spaces are sub-accounts that sit next to your main account. With Spaces, you can easily manage your finances and organize your savings. Create up to 10 Spaces in your N26 app, and simply drag-and-drop to move money between your main account and your Spaces sub-accounts. Spaces are also handy for putting money aside for upcoming expenses, such as future tax payments.

With Shared Spaces, you can manage shared expenses or join together to reach a savings goal as a group—simply invite up to 10 other N26 customers to your Shared Space. Each customer will then be able to add or withdraw money from the Shared Space. And now with Round-up rules, you can have your card purchases rounded up to the nearest euro, and get the difference automatically saved in a space of your choice.

What happens if I use my N26 Business Smart account for personal spending?

Accepted Answer

Since N26 Business Smart is a business bank account, you’re expected to use it mainly for business-related purposes. You may, however, still use it for personal spending, as long as these do not make up the majority of your transactions. You may also use your account to receive your income from clients, or for business-related spending, such as paying the rent or on business trips.

Is N26 Business Smart a euro account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The N26 Smart account is a euro account. This means that you’ll see your balance in euros. However, you can make payments in other currencies without having to worry about fees.
